Terms of Service

KaziAlert is a remote job aggregation and alert platform designed for Kenyan job seekers. We collect publicly available remote job listings and, for paid subscribers, deliver instant notifications via WhatsApp or SMS when matching jobs are posted.

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Kenya (or otherwise legally permitted to use the service) to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@kazialert.co.ke if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or attempt to abuse or circumvent our platform.

KaziAlert offers the following plans:

• Free: Access to 5 job categories. Apply directly from the website. No WhatsApp alerts.
• Pro (KES 699/month or KES 6,990/year): All job categories, instant WhatsApp alerts for up to 3 categories, no ads.
• Elite (KES 1,299/month or KES 12,990/year): Everything in Pro, plus unlimited category alerts and SMS fallback.

Plan features may change over time. We will notify subscribers of material changes with at least 14 days notice.

Payment method: We accept M-Pesa payments processed through IntaSend, a licensed Kenyan payment service provider. By subscribing, you authorise us to initiate an M-Pesa STK push to your registered number.

Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed in advance for the chosen period (monthly or annual). Your subscription is activated upon confirmed payment.

No automatic renewal: We do not automatically charge your M-Pesa number at renewal. Your subscription will simply expire at the end of the billing period. You must manually repay to continue your subscription.

Receipts: A payment confirmation is sent to your registered email address after each successful transaction.

Due to the digital nature of our service, all subscription payments are non-refundable once a plan is activated and you have accessed paid features. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service after payment, contact us within 7 days at support@kazialert.co.ke and we will review your case.

If a payment is taken but your plan is not activated due to a system error on our end, we will issue a full refund or activate your plan at your preference.

KaziAlert aggregates job listings from third-party job boards for informational purposes. We do not:

• Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing
• Verify that listed positions are still open at the time of viewing
• Act as a recruiter or employment agency
• Guarantee employment outcomes for any user

Any application you make is directly between you and the employer. KaziAlert is not a party to that relationship.

By providing your WhatsApp number and subscribing to a paid plan, you consent to receiving job alert messages from KaziAlert via WhatsApp or SMS. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any message or by removing your phone number from your profile settings.

Alert delivery depends on network availability and third-party messaging services (Africa's Talking). We cannot guarantee delivery in all circumstances.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or redistribute job listings from our platform in bulk
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to bypass any paywall, rate limit, or security measure
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose under Kenyan law
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload or transmit malicious code

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

The KaziAlert name, logo, platform design, and original content are the intellectual property of KaziAlert. Job listing content belongs to the respective employers and source platforms. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without written permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, KaziAlert shall not be liable for:

• Loss of employment opportunity arising from a missed or delayed alert
• Inaccurate or outdated job listing information
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and notify you by email if the changes are material. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
